Stewardship Volunteer

Stewardship volunteers help out primarily during the summer when it is too hot and dry to plant trees. These volunteers help us maintain our planting sites and improve the ecology of our natural areas by:

  • mulching newly planted trees, shrubs and wildflowers;

  • pulling and cutting weeds and invasive species

  • cleaning up garbage and litter

  • watering newly planted trees, shrubs and wildflowers

  • preparing sites for future planting including spreading mulch and fertilizer, mowing grass and spreading cover crop seeds.

Links for all stewardship events will be posted on the homepage.
