FALL 2023 PLANTING EVENTS
Registration is required at all fall planting events and you are encouraged to attend as many events as you like. Click the orange buttons to get a ticket through Eventbrite. No experience is required and all training is provided. Volunteer hours are provided. Bring your school form and drop them off at the check-in table.
What to wear and bring: Shovel, 5-gallon bucket, long pants, sturdy footwear, water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, Eventbrite ticket
Saturday & Sunday, October 14 - 15
Location: Rouge National Urban Park, Pin 478 (Wixon Creek), Pickering
Saturday Session: Oct 14 - 8 AM to 2 PM. Please note that this is an event set-up day. You will be moving plants and no tree planting will occur.
Saturday Parking: Park at the Planting Site. Detailed instructions will be provided by e-mail.
Sunday Sessions: Oct 15 - 9 AM to 12 PM or 1 PM to 4 PM
Sunday Parking: Mount Joy GO Station (East Parking Lot), 1895 Bur Oak Ave, Markham. Due to number of volunteers, parking is not available at the planting site. All volunteers are asked to park at Mount Joy GO Station and will be bused to the planting site which is a 5-10 minute ride. Buses will run regularly between the sites.

Saturday, September 23
Location: Monarch Park, Markham. Located near Waterbridge Lane and Longwater Chase (16th Ave and Kennedy Rd)
Time: 9 AM to 1 PM
Parking: Park on local streets or at St. Matthew Catholic Elementary School. Enter the park at the Waterbridge Lane / Juniper Crescent entrance.
Shovels at this event will be limited. Please e-mail Patrick at email@example.com if you require a shovel.

2024 PLANTING EVENTS
April 27 and 28, 2024
Location: Bruce's Mill Conservation Area, Whitchurch-Stouffville
Registration will open in March 2024.
