We have had a very wet spring. This year’s site does have water on it. We recommend that anyone coming out to be wearing rubber boots and be prepared to deal with mud.

Looking for a great way to help out while getting some fresh air and exercise? Help plant some trees, shrubs, wildflowers and pollinator gardens! 10,000 Trees welcome members of the community to join us at our 30th anniversary spring planting event, which promises to be more fun than ever before! You will be making a difference for future generations, ensuring that our natural habitats stay strong and that Markham remains lush and unspoiled in the middle of our city. Come join us, RAIN OR SHINE! Be sure to dress appropriately and be prepared to have fun – and get a bit dirty.

Also, don’t forget:

  • waterproof boots

  • spade or shovel

  • bucket and gloves

  • waterbottle or mug (for coffee)

If you're interested in a volunteer position on the day of the planting, check out our open positions.
